description Dinosaur State Park is the site of a discovery of 2,000 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints. 500 footprints are on display inside the the museum. These footprints are 200 million years old. The park also features a bookshop, an auditorium where dinosaur related films are shown, a classroom, 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails and a unique track casting area (seasonal).
drivingDirection The Park is located one mile east of I-91 off exit 23. If you are coming from the New Haven area take a right off the exit and the park will be about 1 mile down the road on the right. Visitors coming from the Hartford area should make a left off the exit and the park will be on their right one mile down the road.

importantInformation You can now make a reservation for the day before your arrival and up until 11 months in advance. The park is open from 9:00AM to 4:30 PM daily. The park is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The exhibit center is closed every Monday. The park's trails and bookshop close at 4:00PM daily. The track casting area is a seasonal activity open from May 1 - October 31st. Visitors must bring their own materials to make a cast. The pavilion rental does not include Museum admission. Adults ages 13 and up are $6, youth ages 6 - 12 are $2 and children under 6 are free.
